About the Club (S8PH)
"Ride And Explore Life With Us"
SUPER 8 PHILIPPINES is a Motorcycle "SCOOTER" club which was founded last February 13, 2009 exclusively for owners of KYMCO Super 8 125cc scooters. Members come from all over Metro Manila and the nearby provinces.
After more than 2 years, with over a hundred members, the club has made its existence known to the motorcycle industry. Part of this is attributed to its immediate past club president, Mr. Richie Abrina, who is also the official photographer of INSIDE RACING MAGAZINE - the first Filipino and number one Motorcycle and Scooter Magazine in the country. Some photos of S8PH Events and Rides were featured in the said magazine which gave the club more exposure to the riding and reading public.
To promote road safety, improve riding techniques, and become responsible riders, the members of S8PH participated in the seminar "MDPPA Road Safety Outreach Program" conducted twice by the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. Well planned and organized group rides with safety as the number one priority has contributed to S8PH's successful Short and Long Rides. The club has gained the respect and support from KYMCO Philippines, Inc. who sponsors major S8PH club activities and gives discounts on spare parts to official members. In gratitude, S8PH supports any motorcycle events organized by KYMCO Philippines.
Club activities are not limited to Fun Rides. It has successfully organized several Charity Rides to help victims of recent Typhoon Calamities, donated school supplies to a Public Elementary School in Quezon Province and at the same time conducted a Feeding Program.
REGULAR AND GENERAL MEETING SCHEDULES AND OFFICIAL RIDES
Regular Meetings are conducted every Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00pm onwards. The meeting place revolves around different well-known motorcycle hangout areas of Metro Manila to make known the existence of the club and to reach out to those who are interested to join. Club matters like upcoming events and rides are discussed.
General Meetings are held on the last Saturdays of the month from 8:00pm onwards at Petron Square Macapagal located along Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard corner North Perimeter Road, Barangay Baclaran, Paranaque City, Metro Manila. The treasurer of the club presents the Financial Report to show transparency in the handling of the club funds. Discussions, consultations and decisions are made on upcoming activities or club matters that need support from the majority of the members. Recently, the officers organized a Raffle Draw for fun and at the same time to entice more members to attend meetings.
Official Rides are often scheduled once a month to provinces around Luzon. Weekly regular short rides are also well organized in order to keep new members abreast with riding ethics and safety procedures.

The club also has a "Super 8 Philippines" Facebook Account that was created by Glen Santos on April 30, 2010. Members can post on the wall, join discussions, post photos or videos, and check out upcoming events.
